How does the stand pump work?

The small opening fits on DV and SV valves. The large opening fits AV valves. Then you fold the lever up. So the head holds perfectly on the valve.

What are the dimensions of the air pump?

The universal dual head of the pump fits all bicycle valves. DV, SV and AV valves can be inflated with the bicycle stand pump. So you can easily inflate every bike. With the small hole you can pump DV and SV valves. The large hole is suitable for AV valves.
