What are trigger?

Trigger:
Shift lever with "press function". Pressing on the shorter lever usually switches into a higher gear at the rear derailleur and into a lighter on the derailleur. Similarly, the longer lever switches into a lower gear at the rear derailleur and into a higher on the derailleur.
